In the story department, Dangal offers few surprises because Geeta and Babita's historic wins at the Commonwealth Games and following championships are common knowledge.What works wonderfully here is the writing. Director Nitesh Tiwari, along with Piyush Gupta, Shreyas Jain and Nikhil Mehrotra should be complimented for their tongue-in-cheek quality, peppered with humour and several poignant father-daughter emotions all through.It is to the film’s credit that though Geeta and Babita’s wins are documented, it still manages to engage the viewer with the wrestling tournaments and bring patriotic emotions to the fore.

On the whole, DANGAL is a masterpiece. A terrific film that stays in your heart and remains etched in your memory much after the screening has concluded. A brilliant film that restores your faith in Hindi cinema. Actually, it won’t be erroneous to state that DANGAL is the finest film to come out of the Hindi film industry in a long, long time and mark my words, it will be remembered as a classic in times to come. It blends drama, emotions, sportsmanship and patriotism extraordinarily… the icing on the cake being Aamir Khan’s towering act. This rich-in-merits film has a major advantage too -- the holidays ahead [Christmas and New Year] -- which will ensure a glorious run at the ticket counters. A must, must watch!

What keeps the film together are the performances. The first-timers — as little girls, and young women learning to gauge their opponent and beating all comers; no silver medals, only gold — all come off well. Tanwar, as Khan’s wife, is a good choice, just familiar enough, and yet new enough.You know how this will end. There are times when the film feels flat, and gets into repetitive loops. Those are times you feel like it should have been tighter. But you end up being impressed by the authenticity of the milieu, both in the sporting arena, as well as the domestic one: the girls jousting for that precious medal are not just going through the motions—they are fighting.

M.S. Dhoni : The Untold Story Movie Missing The final Punch

M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story biographical film based on the life of Indian cricketer and the current ODI and T20I captain of the Indian national cricket team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni featuring Sushant Singh Rajput as Dhoni has Sluggish but engaging pace in the first half, however, It would have been better if songs of a movie or even love story were cut short.
The first half of a movie is all interesting including all middle-class family drama yet it is slow. There are unnecessary songs and love drama in the second half which drags the movie to an undesired extent. Except this movie is all engaging the cricket shown on screens in wonderful, director Neeraj Pandey efforts are all seen on screen. There should have been more scene of Dhoni sharing the dressing room with cricketing stars or even some great motivational and “encouraging one-liners” which he is known for the on the field.
The movie had second highest opening occupancy after Sultan. Salman Khan's Sultan had opened 70%  with 4350 screens and M.S.Dhoni had 50% occupancy with 4500 screens.

YZ is another Marathi language good film of an age comedy, Drama, Romance, directed by Sameer Vidwans and produced by Sanjay Chhabria and Anish Joag. The film stars Sagar Deshmukh, Akshay Tanksale, Parna Pethe, Sai Tamhankar and Mukta Barve in lead roles. The movie received good response from critics. Pune Mirror with 3.5 stars quotes "The best thing about Sameer Vidwans’s YZ is that it’s consistently amusing. It’s not perfect and it’s certainly not very original, but it is smart, it has believable characters, and it avoids the usual traps of conventional storytelling. The cast and dialogues are the two strong elements."
Maharashtra times with 3.5 stars quotes, "उत्तम कलादिग्दर्शन, ताजं पार्श्वसंगीत, टवटवीत गाणी विशेषतः मीची मज व्यालो, पियकरा.. ही गाणी. उत्तरार्धात थोडा हा सिनेमा खेचल्यासारखा वाटतो. त्यामुळे सिनेमाची लांबीही थोडी वाढलीय. पण, 'गजानन'ने शेवटी घेतलेला 'वायझेड' निर्णय पाहता हा प्रकार चालून  जातो. पूर्वार्धात येणारे धडाकेबाज आणि उत्तरार्धातले हळूवार, हळवे संवाद यांमुळे हा सगळा मसाला केवळ चवदारच नव्हे तर पौष्टिकही बनतो."

Rustom an Indian crime-mystery film written by Vipul K Rawal and directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, featuring Akshay Kumar and Ileana D'Cruz in the lead role received mixed reviews from critics.
With 3 stars Hindustan times quotes "It’s a juicy retro story given more panache with a voiceover by Manoj Bajpayee, who introduces us to Mumbai’s Queen’s Necklace in sepia. But not everything in Rustom is proportioned right. Lousy special effects and the language of certain characters are a few things that warp the authentic feel of the movie. Yet, somehow Rustom doesn’t falter, except when you realise the movie two and a half hours long."
Indian express with 1.5 stars quotes  "The only time we connect with Rustom is when we are allowed to see the anguish and pained resolve in Akshay’s eyes.If only that feeling, and other emotions—stuff that comes with the territory of love and betrayal and murder– permeated the film: the rest, alas, is cardboard".
It is an average film with 2.5 to 3 stars. Rustom is recommendable for a weekend watch. It’s best if you watch this murder mystery thriller without its references to the Nanavati case. Rustom is a one-time watch.

Azhar Movie First Day Box Office Collection

Azhar Movie First Day Box Office Collection is 6.30 crores. The collection was expected little higher. The best collection of the movie is from Nizame,Andra, which is around 40 lakhs net. Mumbai collection is around 2 crore. The movie was low in Delhi city, East Punjab, and Eastern Market.

It is sports biographical film written by Rajat Arora and directed by Tony D’Souza. Based on the life of the Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin, the film is produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, and Sony Pictures Networks, and features Emraan Hashmi, Prachi Desai, Nargis Fakhri and Lara Dutta in lead roles.

The movie had a fair opening in metro seen around 25% of occupancy in opening shows. Azhar opens well in UAE-GCC. Collected approx 0.72 crores (AED 400,000) on Thursday.

The movie released on 2100 screens in India with a total budget of 38 crores, which includes 28 crores production cost and 10 crores Prints & Advertising Cost. All India Rights of Azhar has been sold for 22.5 crores to Kumar Mangat and Satellite Rights has been claimed to be sold at Rs 8 Crores.
The movie had opened well in Gurajat than metro like Mumbai and Delhi. The opening of Azhar is the better than the last 6-7 releases of Emraan Hashmi but its short of a Jannat 2 or Raaz 3.


Overseas Collection on Opening Day:  Day 1 at Australia box office collected 0.88 crores from 19 screens.  Day 1 at New Zealand box office collected 0.27 crores with 7 screens 1 screen yet to report. Day 1 at U.K. box office collected 0.624 crores from 23 screens, and UAE box office is 0.72 crores. Total Overseas collection so far is 2.5 Crores
